PHILADELPHIA: Injuries and illness played a huge part in determining the Pro division at the 2007 US Nationals. With Paul Price still on the shelf with an injured back, Ben Gould teamed up with Willie Hosey (whose partner Jamie Bentley, whose is done until next year), only to drop a heartbreaking 18-17, five game decision to Clive Leach and Scott Butcher. The illness factor kicked in on the top half, where Gary Waite couldn't shake off a nasty cold, as Damien Mudge and he dropped a quick 3-0 match to Mike Pirnak and Tyler Millard. The ultimate beneficiaries were Preston Quick and John Russell, who took advantage of their superior play and a weakened draw to defeat Butcher and Leach 3-0 in the finals.

Draw
