BALTIMORE: If the season starting Maryland Club Open was any indication, the ISDA tour will be more competitive than ever before in its seven-year existence. First off, perennial champions Gary Waite and Damien Mudge were disposed of in the semis by the third seeded team of Ben Gould and Paul Price. With the top seeds out of the way in the semis, the door was open for second seeds Chris Walker and Viktor Berg to walk away with the opening event. Unfortunately for Walker and Berg, the fourth seeded duo of John Russell and Preston Quick didn't feel like following the script, and they won a hard fought semi to the tune of 3-2, setting up a final match with Gould and Price. Round one went to the men from down under, and they left Baltimore with a 3-1 championship final, and setting themselves up as a legitimate threat for the '06-'07 ISDA season.Pellentesque consequat arcu quis elit.
