“Squash guru” John Russell is an Englishman living in Brooklyn, NY. John is a former World Junior Team champion and was ranked in the top 50 of the PSA rankings. John capped off a magnificent 2006-2007 season when he and his partner Preston Quick reached 4 ISDA finals and captured the US National Doubles Championships. In 2007-08 the talented duo found themselves in two more finals and firmly established themselves as one of the elite teams on the ISDA tour. John also ran the 2007 New York City marathon the same weekend he competed in the Big Apple Open – a true fitness fanatic. This season Quick Russell have reached two of the four finals at the Maryland Club and the US Pro Championship and have served notice that they are ready to challenge for the number one ranking.  In his non squash time, John enjoys guitar, golf, reading and the occasional beer.
