With over 20 years of squash experience, Australian Ben Gould has achieved a meteoric rise in the ISDA rankings reaching a ranking of #1 in 2006. He followed up his 3 ISDA tour wins in the 2005-2006 season with 5 more in the 2006-2007 season. This resulted in the first ISDA season where any team was consistently ranked ahead of the perennial number one team of Damien Mudge and Gary Waite. In addition to this number one ranking, Gould and Price defeated Mudge and Waite four out of the five times they played each other in 2006-2007. This season Ben and Paul have won 4 of the first 7 events including the 2007 Big Apple Open, Metrosquash Open, Jim Bentley Cup, and Vancouver Pro events. Ben’s powerful forehand has now opened a debate as to who is the hardest hitter on tour.
Away from the court, the soft spoken Aussie has recently moved back to New York from St. Simons Island and his hobbies include reading, architecture, travel, golf, real estate and music.
